Trivial | Baby Sand Cat

A rare baby Sand Cat was born to Israel’s Safari Zoo recently. Once a common cat in the dunes of Israel, the cat has become basically extinct in the region. The newborn has given hope to conversationalists who hope one day to reintroduce the Sand Cat to the wild. - The Uniblog

Fashion | Miss Unkon Summer/Spring 2012/13 MBFWA

This has to be, hands down, my favourite collection that came to light during this years Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.
So light and flowing with the lovely soft colours broken up by the occasional all black outfit.
I love the second, shorter black dress. Anything with a sharp collar catches my attention IMMEDIATELY. So crisp and clean. But the last dress, the one leading down the runway is simply delicious. It is so fragile and innocent. It almost looks edible!! Must admit my favourite part of the out fit is the embroidery on the front of the skirt. It is just too perfect.

The shoes also fit the collection oh-so perfectly because they aren't loud or attention grabbing at all. The perfectly neutral colour, simple design with 2 wide straps, and the tall wedge are just.... MWAH! PERFECT! With such delicate fabrics and colours using loud and bold shoes would ruin the whole aurora of the collection. And if I do say so myself, those shoes look damn comfortable! Such a rare occurrence in runway shows! I would not mind hiking around in them all day.

It is my dream (THAT IS GOING TO COME TRUE) that I will go to MBFWA next year. UHHHH it would be amazing. And I plan on dragging the beautiful Lydia Bishop along with me!

Tell me what you think! I always love to know.

xo Enjoy.

Inspiration | Exploded Flowers by Qi Wei

Lily, Hibiscus, Hydrangea, Orchid, Red Rose, Lotus, sunflower.
Such a simple, but astonishingly powerful concept by Qi Wei makes you realize the complex nature of such an everyday object, flowers. The various shapes, textures and patterns are so much more noticeable when you can look at each petal individually and  when it is splayed out in such a nature.
It is also amazing how different flowers take up different amounts of space one they are disassembled. The small red rose takes up so much more space compared to a bigger flower, such as the sunflower.
This collection makes already beautiful and interesting objects fascinating once again.
